Description
The U.S. Military Academy, Directorate of Contracting, West Point, N.Y. is seeking sources the attached list of titles. This journals are used to support the West Point Jefferson Library. No substitutes will be accepted. This procurement is made up of the complete National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) archives through access to the following modules: - NAACP Papers: Board of Directors, Annual Conferences, Major Speeches and National Staff Files (NAACP 1) - NAACP Papers: The NAACP's Major Campaigns: Education, Voting, Housing, Employment, Armed Forces (NAACP 2) - NAACP Papers: Major Campaigns, Scottsboro Case, Anti-Lynching Campaign, Discrimination in the Criminal Justice System, Peonage, and Segregation and Discrimination Responses (NAACP 3) -NAACP Papers: Major Campaigns, Legal Department Files (NAACP 4) -NAACP Papers: Special Subjects (NAACP 5) - NAACP Papers: Branch Department, Branch Files and Youth Department Files (NAACP 6) These modules include digitized letters, internal memos, legal briefings and direct action summaries from the national, legal and branch offices of the NAACP throughout the United States. These are primary source documents, not found currently in our collection. The content includes the time period of 1909 through 1972. It will allow users to examine segregation in the early 20th century, the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, in addition to the events in the late 1960s and 1970s including the Black Power Movement, urban riots and landmark decisions such as Brown vs Board of Education.
