THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Explosive Ordinance Disposal Mobile Unit One of San Diego, CA is seeking eligible businesses with current and relevant qualifications, experience, personnel and capability to perform the proposed contract action. The appropriate NAICS Code is 336612. This Market research tool is being used to determine potential and eligible business firms capable of providing a commercially modified, buoyant sled specifically designed to be towed behind a Rigged-Hulled Inflatable Boat (RHIB), described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this Sources Sought. Requirements: Sled that is towable in water behind a 5-meter Rigged-Hulled Inflatable Boat (RHIB) powered by an outboard tiller motor of 50 HP. The sled must be easily inflated using an 80 scf SCUBA cylinder. It must weigh less than 125lbs deflated and be man portable with two persons. It must be easily deflated and packable into a 1 cubic yard container. When inflated, the sled must float 600-800lbs and be 12-15 ft. in length and 8 ft. in width. The sled must be of a durable, UV and weather-resistant, rigid, inflatable material that will support an object approximately 12 ft. long, with a 13 inch diameter, weighing 600-800 lbs. without bending.
