- This notice replaces previously issued under Presolicitation No. HSCG85-15-Q-SPAR206. The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Contracting and Procurement Branch 2 IBCT Product Line intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote for Scheduled Dockside Repairs for the USCGC SPAR (WLB-206), a 225' Seagoing Buoy Tender, home moorage at Kodiak, AK. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. On or about 01 April 2015, a Request for Quote will be available electronically via the Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPPS) website at http://www.fbo.gov/. The NAICS Code is 336611 and the Small Business Size Standard is less than 1,000 employees. This requirement will be evaluated using price and past performance as evaluation factors. Hard copies solicitation will not be issued. It is incumbent upon the contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPPS website for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. FEDBIZOPPS also contains an optional automatic notification service. THE ACQUISITION WILL BE SOLICITED AS A FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance will be fifty eight (58) calendar days after the Cutter becomes available to the contractor August 12, 2015 through October 8, 2015. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Due to weather considerations and the period of performance, all work will be performed onboard the Cutter at the Naval Base LA/LB, 1001 S. Seaside Avenue #20, San Pedro, California 9073; or contractor proposed location within geographical restrictions on the West Coast. DESCRIPTION OF WORK (General Scope) The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, material, services, equipment, supplies, power, accessories, facilities and such other things as are necessary, except as otherwise specified, to perform dockside repairs and alterations to the vessel, in accordance with this solicitation and attached specifications.
