- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Infrared Window Technical Specifications Specifications for Infrared Window: * 3 quote mark window- 739 BB * Arc tested (IEEE C37.20.7 or IEC 62271-200) 63 kA for 30 cycles @ 60 Hz at KEMA * UL 50V component recognition * UL50/NEMA environmental rating : Type 4/12 * Mechanical Testing, ANSI/IEEE C37.20.2 section A3.6 (at TUV) * UL 1558 * IP Rating IP67 at TUV (dust tight and immersion up to 1 m) * Vibration Rating: IEC60068-2-6 at TUV * Humidity Rating: IEC60068-2-3 at TUV * CSA Certification, Product Class 3211 07 * Window lens must be clear, made with broadband crystal. * Lens must be protected from degradation from moisture and indoor industrial atmosphere. * Max Operating Temp 500 F/ 260 C * Frame material must withstand Industrial Environment with silicone gasket material * Use standard Greenlee Punch sizes to cut hole (conduit punch) for installation process. * Permanently attached, hinged cover with thumb or safety screw. Ability to label on-site (identify). * Easily ground to panel door using minimal hardware. * Overall height must be less than 6 inches * Overall width must be less than 5 inches * Limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. Q AND A Q. What wavelengths or wavelength ranges need to transmit through the windows? A. Infrared is the range of wavelengths Q. Does the quote mark clear quote mark in quote mark Window lens must be clear, made with a broadband crystal. quote mark refer to the infrared wavelengths or to the visible spectrum? A. Visible light spectrum is needed. Q. Since it is visible spectrum, does it need to be completely transmissive for the visible as with regular window glass, or does it just need some visible transmission as though it were tinted a particular color? A. It doesn't matter if it is tinted or not.
