Description
Army Contracting Command NJ -Fort Dix is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) in an effort to perform market research to assist in determining the acquisition strategy for Grounds Maintenance Services, McGarrity Memorial United States Army Reserve Center/Army Support Maintenance Activity #105, 99 Soldiers Lane, Coraopolis and Commissary/Post Exchange building 79 Soldiers Lane and 89 Soldiers Lane respectively,Coraopolis PA. The award shall be for a base year, beginning on or about 15 June 2015, with four one year options to be exercised at the government's discretion. This RFI is to identify potential small business contractors for this requirement. The Contractor shall provide all plant labor, equipment, safety equipment, tools, materials, and supervision necessary to perform all tasks as defined and stated in the performance work statement in accomplishing grounds maintenance services, which include MOWING: All grass cutting equipment will arrive at the site with mowing blades in a sharp condition. Mowing shall include areas identified in the site map. During the growing season grass shall be cut to a height no higher than three (3) inches and no less than two (2) inches. TRIMMING/EDGING: Visually prominent areas of the site must be properly trimmed and edged one (1) time per month during the growing season, or as directed by the government. All walks, fence lines, plazas, and roadway curbs adjoining a turf areas shall be cleanly edged/trimmed and consistently maintained throughout the growing season. MULCHING: All planting beds shall have a fresh (3) inch coating of shredded hardwood mulch uniformly applied to them in May (prior to Memorial Day). WEEDING/PLANTING BED MAINTENANCE: All visually prominent planting beds shall be kept attractive and free of weeds during the growing season and will be completely and fully weeded once (1) per month or approximately every 30 days, or as directed by the government. PRUNNING/TRIMMING: Visually prominent trees/shrubs/hedges/bushes will be deadwood pruned/trimmed two (2) times per year (once in April and once in September). FALL LEAF REMOVAL: For fall leaf removal, the Contractor shall begin removing fallen leaves in all visually prominent areas two (2) times per month (approximately every 14 days) beginning in Early - mid October and continue throughout the fall and winter until all leaves have fallen off of the trees. This RFI is for planning purposes only. No solicitation document exists at this time. Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government to procure these items or to issue a solicitation. In addition, the Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this RFI, and responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers. Any information that the vendor considers proprietary should be clearly marked as such. Responses to this RFI should not exceed five (5) pages and must contain the following information: Your company's business size, using NAICS code 561730 business size $7.5m as the benchmark and capability. Further, attached is a draft copy of the performance work statement and draft drawings which define the area(s) to be maintained. Responses shall be forwarded via email to Claudia Adams, contract specialist, via email at Claudia.m.adams.civ@mail.mil or may be faxed to 609 562 3625 no later than noon Friday 17 April 2015
