The Government anticipates awarding a contract for Vegetation Materials Collection services. The resulting IDIQ contract will consist of services including but not limited to: tree climbing, caging, and collecting cones, pollen and scion from individual white pine (WP), whitebark pine (WBP), western larch (WL), Douglas-fir (DF), Engelmann spruce (ES) and ponderosa pine (PP) trees in accordance with all safety requirements for such work, and specialized tree improvement and non-conifer material collections as directed by the Government. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies, and incidentals to perform the work (except those items designated as Government-furnished property). This work is being solicited as a performance based service contract. Performance based means the Contractor is responsible for an end product. If an end product is not provided in compliance with the contract specifications, an adjustment to the payment will be made. Trees to survey or collect vegetative materials from are located in different areas of each of the three Forests (Bitterroot, Flathead and Lolo). Specific trees will be identified by the Government in a Task Order. In general, trees are located near roads; the exception is whitebark pine (WBP) which may be up to 2-3 miles from a drivable road. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 113210 Forest Nuseries and Gathering of Forest Products; and the small business size standard is $11 million. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 10:00 MDT and will be hosted in the Willow Room of the Lolo National Forest Supervisor's Office. Sign-in required at the front desk. The Government estimates awarding this contract on 1 June 2015. The contract time is estimated to begin mid-June 2015. Please refer back to Fed Biz Opps (this page) for more specifics regarding the RFP solicitation issuance and pre-proposal conference.
