Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 8, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) - Soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, to A-Z DME, 1330 Foster Avenue Suite 200, Nashville, TN 37210. The proposed action will acquire Durable Medical Equipment delivery/pick up services while a long term contract is competitively awarded. A-Z DME is the current provider of durable medical equipment delivery at the West Palm Beach VAMC, therefore to avoid a substantial break in service or interruption in service and to ensure continuance of quality of service to the patients A-Z DME will continue to provide this type of services until the new contract is awarded. The estimated period of performance is six (6) months from the date of award. Vendor's interested in the long term contract are encouraged to take part the competition process. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledge. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Responsible parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement via email to Karina A. Miranda at Karina.Miranda@va.gov no later than 12:00 pm EST, April 28, 2015. All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the services required and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror's bona fide capability to provide these services. Telephone responses are not acceptable and will not be considered.
