Description
Synopsis: The 162nd Wing AZANG intends to exercise option year 3 to Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. under delivery order, W912L2-12-F-0035, with a Period of Performance from 21 April 2015 to 20 April 2016. This Delivery Order is to Provide Professional Engineering Services (PES) to the Air National Guard Air Force Reserve Command Test Center (AATC), Tucson, Arizona. Personnel, in these positions, are located in various states. Together, they form one cohesive unit to meet test equipment evaluation requirements. Since there are existing projects in progress, a higher standard of performance is expected by subsequent stabilization of contractor's work force and contractor's familiarization with the requirement. This written determination is IAW FAR 17.207. As required by the section, it is determined that: a.Funds are available for this action (Off-loading by AATC, to the 162d Wing, is authorized under FAR Part 17); b.There continues to be a requirement for AATC Testing and Evaluation engineering professionals, located at the Tucson ANG Base; c.Exercising this option is the most advantageous method to fulfill the Government's needs. Price was based on a competed action and is reasonable compared to previous acquisition history. Services are required to maintain the continuing operation of the facility in Tucson, Arizona; and d.The option was synopsized in accordance with Part 5 at the time of award of the base contract. Adequate funds are available for this requirement. Exercising this option is the most advantageous method to fulfill the Government's needs, and prevent degradation of the mission. Price was based on a competed action and is reasonable. Informal analysis of the market does not indicate any substantial savings would be realized by re-soliciting this requirement. Therefore, we intend to exercise CLIN #0004AA for personnel, and CLIN#0009AA, for travel. This notice is for informational purposes only; no formal solicitation will be issued as a result of this announcement. This is not a request for quote. This is a special notice prepared IAW FAR 5.101(a)(1) Methods of Disseminating Information. POCs for this notice are Emily C Guchereau at emily.c.guchereau.mil@mail.mil or Commercial 520-295-6543 (DSN 844-6543) and SSgt Brandon Butler at brandon.r.butler20.mil@mail.mil or Commercial 520-295-6112 (DSN 844-6112).
