- Request for information- SYNOPSIS For Design and Build Willow Beach NFH Floating Pump System Willow Beach, AZ 86445 April 2015 The US Fish and Wildlife Service are seeking only information at this time without pricing at all. We are looking to see what is available and ideas. Here's some general informtion about the project; The services required will include all the design and preparation of construction plans, specifications, and costs estimates, and construction of a floating pump system to provide supply water from the Colorado River (Mohave Lake) to the Willow Beach National Fish Hatchery (hereafter referred to as the Hatchery). The Hatchery is located Willow Beach, Mohave County, AZ for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS). The basic project requirements include the following: a.Floating pump system will supply approximately 5000 gallons per minute and will tie into the existing water supply pipeline. Contractor is to determine best pumping system for the governments requirements vertical or axial pump system should be evaluated; b.Power for the floating pump system shall use the existing power/electrical system. A single line diagram of system for the electrical system will be available; c.The floating system shall include access to dock system from the existing bank, gang plank, both navigation and night lighting as required; d.The waterline from pump system shall tie into existing water supply line to the raceway. The `tie in shall include check valves to allow the use of the pumping system as well as the pumps in the Pump house; if needed; e.Project includes the replacement of four (4) 12-inch gate valves; f.System shall be incorporated into the existing emergency generator system. Minimum requirements for system shall include low water alarm tied to a radio frequency and call out alarm. The emergency system shall incorporate a soft start for pump; and g.The existing drainline from A-Bank shall be replaced.
