- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention contemplates award for purchase of maintenance coverage on 25 Beckman Coulter instruments. The bid should be made following the instructions on the attachment Beckman-Coulter Instrument Bid Sheet. All instructions must be followed for your bid to be considered responsive. Any bidder responding to this advertisement must provide the following services: _____The contractor shall provide all necessary trained experienced technical personnel, tools, parts, upgrades, shipping, travel, materials and supplies to perform/provide one time onsite PM and unlimited on-site repair service visits of Beckman Coulter manufactured equipment as listed on this PO for one year. Period of Performance will begin May 10, 2015 and span no longer than one year. _____The contractor shall provide and use only genuine original/Beckman manufacturers' parts, supplies, materials, and upgrades. _____The contractor shall provide one onsite comprehensive preventive maintenance service to original equipment manufacturer specifications to ensure proper functioning of equipment. PM dates are specified on the Beckman-Coulter Instrument Bid Sheet and shall be followed as stated or within two (2) business days. _____The contractor shall respond within 24 hours (excluding weekends and federal holidays) of service calls to schedule a proper time of service which should be within 72 hours of business days. This applies to PM service and emergency repair requests. _____The contractor shall provide detailed service report including quality assurance and certification for each instrument per repair and PM service request within two (2) weeks after the visit. _____The contractor shall respond to unlimited emergency repair requests at no additional cost during one year agreement. This includes travel, labor, genuine parts and other necessary items. Also response time shall be the same as listed above. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 811219. Vendors shall be registered at SAM.gov. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Bids should be e-mailed to the purchasing agent at lml3@cdc.gov before close of business (4:30 p.m. ET) on April 22, 2015. Any questions should be addressed to the purchasing agent.
