- Description
- AMENDMENT 0003: THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO ANSWER QUESTIONS: QUESTION: The ASME Authorized Inspector has stated, per the ASME Code he will NOT authorized the ASME stamping of this tank without reviewing all the Government supplied parts material test reports (MTR'S) or partial data reports. Will the government provide all the necessary material information over to the contractor? If not, is it acceptable to design, construct and test the tank to ASME standards but do not stamp it ASME? ANSWER: It is acceptable to design, build and test the tank to ASME standards as specified, but the vessel does not has to have the ASME stamp. The purpose of following ASME requirements is to ensure a quality product. There is no requirement to have a ASME stamped vessel. All other terms remain unchanged.
