Description
Amendment to PR 34959 Questions asked as a result of the Base Notice 34959 Raw Material Thread •1) Is there a preference for the fiber type ie : Nylon or Polyester ? •a. No •2) Will this requirement be for a color or will it be natural as well? •a. There will be no natural color thread: Red, White, Blue, Yellow (some will have specific security feature requirements) •3) Is there a denier or Tex size (or range) in mind? •a. Total thickness will be 50T - each strand should be 30T •4) Can you estimate the monthly and/or annual volume for this product? •a. Yes - 2 Different Threads - Approximately 6,000,000 yards per year each •5) What are the necessary steps to register to receive this solicitation? •a) An email to James Sisson jsisson@gpo.gov must be received by COB/1500 April 30, 2015 to express your/your company of represetations interest. 6) To receive a copy of the specifications of this procurement, will the vendor need to come to the U.S. Government Publishing Office in Washington, DC and complete a non-disclosure form to receive the specifications? •a) No, but a Non-Disclosure Agreement will sent to the perosn of interest for completion for proof of identification and the company he/she represents before any specifications will be given to the person of interest. •7) Can you provide the timetables and procedures of this procurement? •a) April 30, 2015, cutoff for expressions of interest; May 22, 2015 - Receipt of Non-disclosure statement and confirmation of proof of identity and provide thread speciications to vendors. June 15, 2015 - Contract Award after receipt of and positive testing of thread quality at no cost to the U.S. Government •8) What is the timing for delivery of materials? Do you mean that the first order must be received within thirty (30) of award or after the sources have been identified for availability? •a. Upon Award delivery of first order will be coordinated with Vendor and Supply Chain Management to coincide with early production needs. 30 Days from receipt of PO or COR approval.
