- **PLEASE READ: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. NO OTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE UNTIL THE SOLICITATION IS ISSUED ON THE DATE IDENTIFIED BELOW** The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) requiring both price and technical proposals responding to evaluation criteria described in the solicitation. Documents will only be available electronically to download from this website on or about April 30, 2015. Description: This contract requires rock crushing on government land, quarry work, (i.e., blasting, dozing native materials) and related work in compliance with the specifications. This includes furnishing labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work required in this contract. Contractor shall crush and stockpile 10,000 cubic yards of aggregate surfacing material, with an option to crush and stockpile up to 5,000 additional cubic yards. Contractor shall be responsible for providing a quality control plan to assure that the materials meet specification. Location: The Project is located approximately 20 miles southwest of Chester California. From Chester travel 1 mile west on State Highway 36 to State Highway 89. Travel south on State Highway 89 to Humbug Road, County Road 307 (Forest Road 27N11). Travel south and west on 307 (27N11) for approximately 13 miles and turn right on Forest Road 27N65. Follow 27N65 for approximately 1 mile until reaching the quarry/pit on the north side of the road. The legal description for the project is Section 2, Township 26 North, Range 5 East, Mount Diablo Base Meridian. Estimated Price Range between: $100,000 - $250,000 Contract Time: 60 Calendar Days Estimated Start Date: August 3, 2015. Response Location: Proposals will be accepted by post/delivery to the Northern California Acquisition Service Area, Redding Office, located within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest Headquarters at 3644 Avtech Parkway, Redding, CA 96002 NO LATER than 1:00 p.m. PDT on date indicated on solicitation. SAM REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award. SAM is a consolidation of the former Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and On-line Representation and Certification Application (ORCA) databases. Registration in SAM is 100% free at www.sam.gov.
