Description
The Northwest Regional Maintenance Center (NWRMC), Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS&IMF), Bremerton, Washington intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price contract for the repair, maintenance, refurbishment, and preservation of three (3) Gladding Hearn 64 Foot Screening Vessels which are located at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor, Washington. The contractor's dry-dock facility must possess the capability of accommodating the vessels which are described as follows: Model of the Vessels: 64-foot Patrol Vessel by Gladding Hearn Shipbuilding, Somerset, MA Manufacture Year: 2010 Size of Vessel: 21' 6" Wide X 64' 9" Length (total length 71'9" including aft platform) Maximum Lift Weight: 103,397 pounds Displacement: 93,000 pounds Draft of Vessel (Full Load): 4' 5" Electrical: 3 phase Tasks will include bottom paint system restoration, cleaning of vessel bilge areas, fuel tank cleaning and fuel disposal, and main deck non-skid replacement. Firms possessing the capability and qualifications shall provide the tools, labor, material, and services to accomplish these tasks. The period of performance will be approximately 21 days per vessel for a total period of performance not to exceed 65 days from award with award anticipated by July 15, 2015. This procurement will be conducted utilizing FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisitions Commercial Procedures (See Class Deviation- 2015-O0004, Permanent Authority for Use of Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Certain Commercial Items). This procurement is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. This pre-solicitation synopsis is for informational purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government.
