Description

Synopsis: This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE Commercial Buy under the authority described at FAR Part 6-602-1 - Only One Responsible source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to acquire HemoSpat Software for Windows 7/8 in support of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Office of Forensic Science. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for the above services to: FORident Software Canada, Inc. Suite 132, 207 Bank St., Ottawa, OH Canada K29P 2N2 The proposed contract action is for services, under NAICS Code 334519, for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B), DOD, NASA, and the Coast Guard, services may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of follow-on contracts for the continued provision of highly specialized services when it is likely that award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agencys requirements (See 10 U.S.C. 2304(d)(1)(B)). This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone, fax, or e-mail requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is within the discretion of the Government.
