- DLA Distribution Anniston, Alabama, which resides on Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) has a requirement to purchase various packaging components for the Army's Machine Gun, Cal.50, M2A1 Quick Change Barrel w/BII box kits. The Contractor shall provide the box kits required to pack the M2A1 Machine Gun. Component specifications are detailed in the Schedule of Supplies and Services and in the Army Special Packaging Instructions (SPI) AM13028723. Products must be constructed complete and in accordance with specifications contained in each delivery order. The period of performance (PoP) is anticipated to begin on or about 25 July 2015 through 24 July 2016, with four (4) one-year Option periods. The Government intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Army's Machine Gun, Cal.50, M2A1 Quick Change Barrel w/BII box kits. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal constitutes the best value to the Government utilizing Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation procedures. It is anticipated that one (1) firm fixed-price with Economic Price Adjustment Requirements contract will be issued. This acquisition will be competed among small business concerns. The applicable NAICS code is 322211- Corrugated and Solid Fiber Box Manufacturing. The employee size standard is 500. All interested and responsible parties may submit a proposal in response to the Solicitation that will be considered by DLA Distribution. The Solicitation Number is SP3300-15-R-0008, and it will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website on or about 08 May 2015. A ny questions regarding this requirement should be submitted after the solicitation is released. The solicitation will reflect the process and procedure for submitting questions relating to the solicitation.
