- The purpose of this amendment is to address industry questions. Question 1: How many bays are needed for line items 0001, 0002, and 0003? For requirements on line items 0001, 0002, and 0003, minimum specifications state 3U but does not explicitly state number of bays required for each rack mount Answer 1: The government minimum specification requires drive bays for primary hard drive and secondary hard drive support only. Additional drive bays are not required but are acceptable for the 2U and 3U rack mounts. Question 2: Regarding the "Secondary Hard Drive", is it only one slot available or multiple? Answer 2: Minimum of 1 slot needs to be available. Question 3: How many SSD or HDD do they require per system. Do they only need 1x100GB? Answer 3: Only 1 SSD or HDD is required per system. Question 4: What is the minimum number of Hot Swap bay for HDD do they require for the 3U and also for the 2U? Answer 4: Minimum of 1 slot needs to be available. Question 5: Are you willing to accept a 4U model? Answer 5: No Question 6: Do you need TAA compliant hardware for this acquisition? Some GOV sites require TAA compliance. Answer 6: No Question 7: Do you need remote administration capability similar to iDrac or IPMI 2.0 with KVM over IP? Answer 7: No Question 8: Do you plan on adding GPU or Phi Co-Processor at a later date. The Power supply used should be capable of handling add on PCI-E Cards. Answer 8: No, but add-on PCIe support is required. Question 9: The power supply specification list Dual Redundant Power Supplies "Greater than or equal" to 550W each? Is this correct? Answer 9: Yes Question 10: Sliding Rail Kit: what is the desired Rail length? Adjustable? Answer 10: Adjustable Question 11: Chassis Depth, Less Than or Equal to 28' inches? Is this correct? Answer 11: Yes Question 12: Is this correct? LINE ITEM 0001: 3-slot riser card PCIEx8, PCIEx4, PCIEx4 Answer 12: No. 3U unit should not have a riser card; 2U unit will have a riser card; 3 slots are OK but not required. Question 13. LINE ITEM 0002: Please clarify "full height half length" Either this means (5X) half height cards that just mount into the motherboard slots, OR It means (5X) full height cards on a butterfly type riser card. Which is correct? Answer 13: 3U chassis should support full height cards without riser card. Question 14. LINE ITEM 0003: What is the electrical throughput needed for the 1 PCIE 3.0 slot (x1, x4, x8, or x16)? Answer 14: X4 AMENDMENT 0002: The purpose of this amendment is to answer an additional question from industry. Question 15: My question is are you requesting these servers to be configured with E5 CPU V2 with 1866 memory speed or E5 V3 with the 2133. Answer 15: Our minimum requirement is for an E5 v3 chip with a minimum of 1866 memory speed. The due date for quotes is not being extended as a result of this amendment. All other terms and conditions of this solicitation remain unchanged.
