Description
THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION: This is a Sources Sought notice issued in accordance with FAR 10.001(a)(3)(i). This Sources Sought notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotes (RFQ), or Invitation for Bids (IFB) or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. This notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or services whatsoever. The 411th CSB is not, at this time, seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited costs incurred in response to this Sources Sought; all costs associated with responding to this Sources Sought will be solely at the interested vendor's expense. Not responding to this Sources Sought does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought is strictly voluntary. All submissions become Government property and will NOT be returned. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified vendors to provide the following items for an executive conference room: 1.Solid Wood Conference Table: a.Must seat at least 20 people b.Room dimensions are 21' x 25.5' c.Solid wood vs. Wood veneer d.Power/communication capability 2.Microphones 3.Digital Nameplate Responses: Vendors possessing the ability to provide the product as stated above are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. Interested parties should address within their electronic responses the following: 1.Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and email address. 2.What is the recommended table size and shape for 20 people? Is it possible to fit a 20-person conference room table within the dimensions of the room (21 ft. x 25.5 ft)? If not, what must the room size be in order to fit a 20-person conference table? 3.Does the conference table need to be custom made or are there pre-fabricated configuration that would meet our requirements and space available? 4.What is the most durable material for an executive-level conference table? Veneer vs. solid pieces of wood? In reference to wood veneer, what is the most durable substrate material (MDF, particle board, etc...)? In reference to solid pieces of wood, what are the recommended wood choices? 5.For wood veneer, what is the thickness of the wood veneer? 6.Backing should go all the way down to the floor so feet are now showing. Will the backing be made of the same material as the table top? 7.Banding - What is the recommended material for the banding of the table edge? What is the widths and thickness? 8.Table legs - What kind of material and color? 9.Power and communication grommets and wire management system capability (at a minimum, power outlet for microphone and digital nameplate). 10.What is the price range for wood veneer? What is the price range for solid pieces of wood? What is the price range for digital nameplates? 11.Is there any certification available for conference table? 12.What is the normal warranty period? 13.Include actual photos and/or design pictures of the conference table. Please submit responses to this Sources Sought Notice electronically (via e-mail) to CPT Ngoc-Uyen Do, Contract Specialist, at ngocuyen.t.do.mil@mail.mil in MS Word or Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) no later than 12:00PM (Eastern Standard Time) on 23 April 2015. The e-mail subject line must specify quote mark Executive Conference Table quote mark. Facsimile responses will not be accepted.
