- General Information: This is an RFI as defined in FAR 15.201(e) to ascertain whether a commercial item exists that provides the capabilities described herein. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI will be treated as business confidential information. Nonetheless, submitters should properly mark their responses if the information is confidential. Response to the RFI will not be returned. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expense associated with responding to this RFI. RFI Response and due date: 24 April 2015, by 4:00 P.M. ET. Instructions to Responders: Responses from all capable and qualified sources are encourgaged to respond to this request. White papers should adhere to the following formatting and outline instructions: 1. All submissions shall be made electronically and be in one of the following formats: Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF. 2. Cover Page (1page) Title Organization Responders technical and administrative points of contact (names, addresses, phone, fax number and email addresses) Topic area(s) addressed 3. Attachment 1 is the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Please note that the response shall provide sufficient technical data to determine how you fully meet the requriements as specified in Attachment 1. Please note that responses are due no later than 24 April 2015, 4:00 PM ET. The preferred method of submission is via email. No evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. At this time no solicitation exists; therefore, please do not request a copy of the solicitation. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE. It is the responsibility of any potential offeror to monitor this site for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Background/Overview: The purpose of this requirement is to support the acquisition of a Temperature Monitoring and Alerting System for rooms and walk-in refrigerators/freezers at the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System (AFMES), Dover AFB, DE. The system is critical to the missions of AFMES and is needed to comply with the MEDCOM's Temperature Sensitive Medical Products (TSMP) monitoring program as well as specific laboratory certifications and accreditations (ISO 17025), National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME), American Board of Forensic Toxicology (ABFT), etc. The contractor shall provide all staffing, materials, and supplies, as necessary to properly install equipment, test and commission the system. The installed system must be 100% wired. Wireless devices are not permitted within AFMES. The contractor shall, to the greatest extent possible, use existing LAN cabling infrastructure and power, however if necessary, the contractor shall provide for the installation of additional LAN cable runs and power as needed. All cabling must be run through existing or new conduit. The CIMScan monitors temperature, humidity, airborne contaminants, water quality, laboratory equipment, energy and water consumption, weather instruments, and production information. It receives measurement data via a LAN or the internet from a single appliance to hundreds of sensors. A notification shall be sent via email informing the appropriate personnel of abnormal conditions. Lastly CIMScan shall record measurement data as well as hourly statistics analysis.
