Description
STATEMENT OF WORK Purchase of new Overhead lighting for three Operating Rooms Introduction The Brooklyn surgical service has critical need to obtain replacement overhead lighting in three of their operating rooms.. Objective To obtain new functioning overhead lights for three operating rooms. Engineering has inspected the faulty lighting and has stated that they are beyond repair. Without the purchase of new lighting, surgeries may soon not be able to be performed. This directly affects patient care and standards of care. Period of Performance The lighting to be replaced will last many, many years. There is no training needed. Special Material Requirements There are no special material requirements needed in the performance or providing the equipment. The vendor is to install the new lighting and take out the old non-functioning lights. Other Requirements unique to the solicitation. The Successful Vendor shall provide the below product and services: -Systems and components contracted under a current VA Contract (Installation and Trade-In excluded) -New LED lighting system with two Medium (20") light heads -160,000 lux per light head -Intensity and Pattern Size adjustable from the Sterile Bezel and Handle -Adjustable pattern size from Sterile Handle 7"-11" -Light heads surrounded with a rubber bumper to reduce damage during collision Successful Vendor to include Installation/De-Installation Services: -Removal of current STERIS Light systems -Removal of STERIS Wall Controllers -Install the new LED Wall Controller into the existing STERIS Wall box with the use of a Retrofit or Surface Mount Kit. This will eliminate additional Wall Patch/Paint -Provide and install an intermediary Structural Plate that attaches to the existing structure. -Install a Special 39" Down Tube onto the Structural Plate to bring the lighting system from 12' 6" to 9' 3" -Install the Dual LED surgical light system onto the 39" down tube. -Test and In-service to Staff Required from Hospital: -Relocation of the 110 v Power from the current wall box to the structural support. -Assure a min 3'4 conduit run from the current light wall box to the structural support. This is likely currently there. -Provide a dumpster for disposal by our Installation Team Additional Requirements: -Installation/De-Installation quoted at Prevailing Wage -Surgical Light Trade-Ins for return of the current AMSCO/STERIS surgical llight systems.
