Description
Construction Project: Lower Granite Telecommunications System Upgrade. The work will be performed at Lower Granite Lock and Dam located in Whitman County and Garfield County, Washington. This will be a firm fixed-price construction contract. Construction magnitude is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price are required. A bid bond is required in the amount of 20 percent of the total bid price. This project is open to both large and small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. The small business size standard is $15,000,000 in average annual receipts. Summary of Scope of Work: The purpose of this work is to 1) Install new cable plant (copper plant shall be CAT 6a per Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.3an; where additional fiber optic cable is required, fiber plant shall be 50/125 micron multimode); 2) Core drilling with requisite enclosures. Project will include conduit, cable tray/ladder and cable race installations; 3) furnish and install 20KVA un-interrupted power supply (UPS) and associated wiring and devices to support reliable power to the telecommunications system; 4) Provide as-built drawings as specified. Shop drawings shall be created in MicroStation Version V8 or compatible equivalent at Lower Granite Lock and Dam. Solicitation Number W912EF-15-B-0009 will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on or about May 22, 2015. The solicitation will be an Invitation for Bid. Bids will be due no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date. A site visit will be offered approximately two weeks after the solicitation is made available to bidders. Refer to the solicitation for details regarding the site visit. The bid opening date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued.
