Description
The 341 st Contracting Squadron, Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, Montana is contemplating a solicitation for the repair of Building 1840. Work consists of providing all labor, equipment, transportation, quality control, and supervision necessary to successfully perform a full range of tasks associated with the building repairs. Specific portions of the project require remodeling administrative areas of the facility, replacing and modifying all of the existing mechanical systems, replacing selected portions of the electrical system, replacing the existing fire detection and suppression system, and all associated civil and structural work incidental to these modifications. In addition it demolishes and constructs a flammable storage facility in close proximity to Bldg. 1840 and removes and installs a whole building diesel generator for emergency power. The project is located within a nuclear weapons storage area (WSA). The WSA has specific requirements for contractor personnel and vehicle entry/exit procedures and work times. All contract personnel will be required to be accompanied by government escorts at all times when within the WSA. The project also requires specific phasing of construction as portions of the facility will be restricted from contractor entry at times throughout the contract performance period. Potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. (See Internet Site https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ ). Potential Contractors must also have current Online Representations and Certification Application on file with SAM. The Government is interested in identifying both Large and Small (to include 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, and Women Owned Small Businesses.) "Prime" Contractors that have experience in the execution and management of high valued contracts that have a minimum of four separate projects valued between 5 and 10 Million dollars. The contractor must also have a bonding capability to fully bond a project between 5 and 10 Million dollars. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 236210, with a size standard of $36,500,000.00. The Government will use this information when determining its business type decision.
