Description
"Sources Sought Notice" - Please do not Submit Quotes The Indianapolis VA Medical Center (VAMC) at 1481 West 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202 intends to solicit for a Base Year Contract with Four One-Year Option Periods for onsite Certified Diagnostic Medical Services with expertise in Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Radiology, and Radiation Safety that meet American College of Radiology (ACR) requirements. The contractor is to provide American Board of Radiology Certified personnel and all equipment to complete the following: 1. Inspect and calibrate approximately 153 VAMC imaging equipment items per standards & guidelines set forth by ACR. A sample equipment listing is provided below. 2. Assist with the VAMCs Radiation Safety program to include: - Properly documenting and maintaining required Federal Records. - Unlimited VAMC telephone/fax consultation 24 hours a day. - Assistance monitoring patient radiation doses from common procedures. - Assistance estimating fetal radiation dose calculations by an American Board of Radiology Certified Diagnostic Physicist. - Assistance during scheduled procedures, with the instruction of hospital personnel as required by hospital accreditation agencies. - Assistance with preparing over-exposure reports for personnel radiation exposures. - Assistance reviewing incidents involving diagnostic x-ray equipment cause and actions taken. 3. Calibration/evaluation of additional imaging equipment as necessary due to additional equipment acquisition or repair/replacement of existing equipment to include: - Design and calculation of radiation protection shielding. - Inspection of radiation protection shielding. - Computed Tomography (CT) protocol optimization (Annually/scanner). They are seeking potential sources to provide the above services beginning 1 October 2015. The applicable NAICS code is 811219.
