Description
Attachment 01 - TAIP Potential Tasks Attachment 01 - TAIP Potential Tasks REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: The National Park Service (NPS), Denver Service Center, Colorado is seeking to identify qualified firms interested to assist the National Park Service in conducting training, assessments and design solutions in support of planning and meeting federal accessibility requirements set forth in the 1968 Architectural Barriers Act (ABA), 1973 Rehabilitation Act, and 2006 Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Standards (ABAAS). BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Beginning in 2015, the National Park Service will develop plans for addressing challenges and barriers to physical and programmatic accessibility in selected areas of several national park units. These plans may include meetings and trainings involving integrated design teams comprised of park staff, national program and regional staff, and accessibility specialists. Accessibility training may be offered as a component of the program as needed. Document reviews, field meetings and assessments will focus on identifying barriers to accessibility for all park visitors in a specific park area. Conceptual pre-design will focus on developing comprehensive solutions and strategies to eliminate barriers. Schematic design, design development and construction documents may be required later as part of an implementation plan. The National Park Service anticipates contracting portions of these plans. SEE ATTACHED series of tasks for which the Denver Service Center may request contract assistance. SUBMITTAL/INFORMATION REQUESTED: 5-6 PAGE RESPONSE, TO INCLUDE: COMPANY'S NAME, DUNS, BUSINESS SIZE, SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, CAPABILITIES RELEVANT TO WORK SIMILAR OR COMPARABLE TASKS/PROJECT THAT SILL SHOW YOUR FIRMS ABILITY TO ADDRESS THESE TASKS (PAST EXPERIENCE), THE TEAMS YOU WOULD SUPPLY (INCLUDING SUBCONTRACTORS), RESUMES, AND OTHER DOCUMENTATION YOU MIGHT FEEL APPROPRIATE TO DEMONSTRATE YOUR CAPABILITIES AS THEY RELATE TO PHYSICAL AND PROGRAMMATIC ACCESSIBILITY FOR FEDERAL AGENCIES, POINT OF CONTACT NAME, PHONE, AND EMAIL. Please respond by 9:00am MST on Thursday, May 7, 2015 if you feel your firm possesses the capabilities to perform the services and would like to be considered for intended agreement. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), Quote (RFQ) or guarantee of award. The NPS may or may not issue a future RFQ or RFP. Please respond to Trinity Lintz and Raymond Prazak via e-mail at trinity_lintz@nps.gov and raymond_prazak@nps.gov. Thank you in advance for your interest and information.
