Description

This is PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - The US Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN, hereinafter referred to as MVAHCS located at One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 621111 with a size standard of $11 million. The VA will award a firm, fixed price, commercial services contract. Contract use will be limited to Minneapolis VA Health Care System only. The solicitation will contain requirements for a 12 - month base year with one (1) 12 - month option to renew. Service will begin August 1, 2015 through July 31, 2016 for the base year. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about May 1, 2015 and will be issued via FedBizOpps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The Contractor shall provide board-certified/board-eligible physician(s) specialized in Mohs Micrographic Surgery (MMS) as established by the American Association (AOA) Board of Dermatology (AOBD) http://www.osteopathic.org/inside -aoa/accreditation/postdoctoral-training-approval/postdoctoral-training-standards/Documents/Basic Standards-MOHS.pdf. Performance of services shall be in accordance with specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS). Scope of Services: Mohs Surgeon(s) services are required 40 hours per week (equivalent to a 1.0 FTE) providing Mohs clinical services. The Minneapolis VAHCS recently opened a new Mohs Clinic and will begin seeing patients on-site instead of sending them out under non-VA care for Mohs surgical procedures. Scope of services includes: staffing of Outpatient Mohs Clinic; providing Mohs micrographic surgical procedures; follow-up care for Mohs surgical patients; training of Dermatology Residents as they rotate through the MVAHCS; and providing consultations as needed. (Note: Multiple physicians may be provided by the contractor to fill this requirement.) Questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing.
