Description

The Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA), Great Lakes Acquisition Center, Southern Tier Construction Team, will be posting a solicitation for vendors to supply labor, material and equipment to provide construction services related for the construction/remodeling of existing space into an On-Call Unit at the following location: Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, 820 S. Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL 60612. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Business (SDVOSBs). Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, components, labor and supervision for construction/remodeling of existing space into an On-Call Unit. VA intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for a base period of one hundred eighty (180) calendar days once the Notice To Proceed (NTP) is issued. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The solicitation will be issued on/about May 8, 2015 with the bid opening on/about June 9, 2015. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOps which may be issued to this solicitation. The project magnitude range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 million.. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $36.5 million applies. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003 (b), SDVOSB firms must be verified in the VIP database or hold a "Re-verification" symbol listed next to the firm's name (this symbol indicates that the firm is undergoing the re-verification process at CVE, prior to submitting a proposal on this solicitation. All interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database.
