Description

This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and proposals are being requested in response to the written solicitation included in this posting. Solicitation number VA263-15-R-0488 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). This requirement is a full and open unrestricted competition. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 621111 "Offices of Physicians (Except Mental Health Specialists) with a small business size standard of $11.0 million. To be considered for award of a Government contract, the offeror must be currently registered in System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. Offerors are encouraged to go to the SAM database www.sam.gov and start the registration process as soon as possible to avoid possible delays should the contractor be selected as a prospective awardee. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23 is soliciting proposals for a part-time board certified/board eligible colon-rectal surgeon to provide colon-rectal procedures and surgery, colon-rectal consultations, as well as on-call emergency and back-up services. The anticipated period of performance will be from July 1, 2015 (or date of award) through June 30, 2016 for the base year, with four (4), one year option renewal periods. Option periods are exercised at the sole discretion of the Government. The date for receipt of offers in no later than May 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.
