Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to provide for a ETF40B Marine Gas Turbine-Corrosive Control Study to be used to evaluate options available to mitigate the susceptibility of the LCAC ETF40B Main Propulsion Engine to corrode. The proposed contract action is for scientific and engineering services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Vericore Power systems, LLC. located in Alpharetta, GA., under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to May 11, 2015 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
