Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a Sources Sought Announcement to determine interest, availability and capability of 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned and Small Business concerns. The NAICS code for the work is 238140. Work under this contract is expected to begin in October 2015 and extend over a 12 month period. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The project includes mechanically widening of identified cracks and areas where concrete has spalled off from the exterior of the multi-story Building Nos. 1, 3 and 4 and the repair of these areas. Repair will include the filling of these areas with cementitious patching material and the subsequent application of a liquid sealant. Interested firms should submit a capabilities package to include the following: business classification (i.e. HUBZone, etc.) as well as qualifications of the team and experience in performing the work requirements stated above. Please include five specific examples of the firm's experience performing vertical construction projects with the focus being on repair of concrete building facades projects. The projects must have been performed within the last five years and shall include: 1) project name and location; 2) initial and final cost of the project; 3) firm(s) performing the work on the project and percentage performed by each; 4) Customer point of contact with contact information (address, telephone, job title, etc.); 5) date of project construction. Also, indicate the team subcontractors that will be used to support the offeror's effort on the project requirements mentioned above. Proof of bonding capability is required. Responses are due May 14, 2015. Responses should be emailed to Stephen.E.Jones@usace.army.mil and reference the Sources Sought number # W912WJ-15-X-0025. Responses are limited to twenty pages. Firms interested shall provide the above documentation in one original form and one copy. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey nor return the data provided. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. The results of this survey will be considered to be in effect for a period of one year from the date of this notice.
