Description
This project is being performed on the Salmon Ranger District of the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests in collaboration with the Nez Perce Tribe Watershed program. Two large and one small corrugated steel pipes shall be removed and replaced with steel pipe-arches. The two project sites are located on the same road approximately 1 mile apart. Burn Creek AOP Culvert Replacements: This project is located on National Forest System Road No. 2002 at Mile Post 1.2 in Section 17, T. 25 N., R. 3 E., Idaho County, Idaho. The project requires removal of a 24 inch diameter corrugated steel pipe on Burn Creek and replacing it with a 103 inch span X 71 inch rise corrugated steel pipe-arch, 42 feet in length, 0.109 inch thickness. It also includes the removal of an 18 inch diameter CMP and installation of a new 21 inch span x 15 inch rise corrugated steel pipe-arch, 30 feet in length, 0.064 inch thickness. The work includes but is not limited to clearing and grubbing, erosion control measures, structure excavation, roadway embankment, removing and disposing an existing culvert, compaction, riprap, roadway surfacing, furnishing and installing a corrugated steel culvert, and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. Victor Creek AOP Culvert Replacement : This project is located on National Forest System Road No. 2002 at Mile Post 2.2 in Section 8, T. 25 N., R. 3 E., Idaho County, Idaho. The project requires removal of a 36 inch diameter corrugated steel pipe on Victor Creek and replacing it with a 103 inch Span x 71 inch rise corrugated steel pipe-arch, 42 feet in length, 0.109 inch thickness. The work includes but is not limited to clearing and grubbing, erosion control measures, structure excavation, roadway embankment, removing and disposing an existing culvert, compaction, riprap, roadway surfacing, furnishing and installing a corrugated steel pipe-arch culvert, and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Government's construction estimate is between $25,000-$150,000. No formal pre-bid tour is planned. Construction work on the project shall commence no earlier than July 1, 2015; all work shall be completed by September 15, 2015. All in-stream work must take place between July 15th and August 15th. Original bid bonds are not required. The acquisition has been set-aside for small businesses.
