Description
EXCEL VERSION OF USMMA MASTER SUPPLY LIST SOLICITATION DTMA95R1500003 SOLICITATION NOTICE - The purpose of this synopsis is to alert the public that the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, part of the Maritime Administration (MARAD), which is an agency of the United States Department of Transportation, intends to procure an experienced company to acquire and distribute textbooks for a higher education institution. This requirement is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 424920 and the small business size standard is 100 employees (Book, Periodical, and Newspaper Merchant Wholesalers). Contract Information USMMA anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contract with Economic Adjustment contract to the successful offeror of this requirement. The period of performance is for a base year of a period of twelve (12) months with four (4) option years. Brief Item Description: The company will institute a centralized system that acquires, delivers, and distributes new and used course items to support the Academic needs of the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) located in Kings Point, New York. The contractor will manage all supplies, collectively known as textbooks, charts, software, electronic access rights, e-books, and other material, that is selected by the Government for the students, known as Midshipmen. The USMMA must receive all designated course material prior to the start of each term in the condition and edition requested. Additionally, a buyback program is required to be developed and accomplished. Please be strongly advised that Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management ( www.SAM.gov ) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation. Additionally, Offerors must be registered in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation in SAM.gov. It is the prospective Offeror's responsibility to check www.FBO.gov as often as necessary for any posted changes to this pre-solicitation synopsis.
