- SOW NIH Compressed Gases Military Standard - Dept. of Defense Bar Code Symbology National institutes of Health Standard The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the world's largest biomedical research facility. Direct research and support activities are performed by approximately 18,000 employees working at the 340 acre main campus located in Bethesda, MD, the 513 acre NIH Animal Center (NIHAC) in Poolesville, MD. The operations on the NIH main campus include approximately forty buildings, 3,000 research laboratories, and a research hospital. The Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Acquisition and Logistics Management (OALM), Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations (OLAO) is seeking qualified small business concerns, 8(a) small businesses, Woman-owned, small disadvantaged businesses, HUB Zone small businesses and Service-disabled Veteran small business concerns with the capabilities to fulfill this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification Code (NIAICS) 325120; CLASSIFICATION CODE 68-CHEMICALS & CHEMICAL PRODUCTS. The anticipated period of performance for the contract is a base twelve month period, plus four (4) twelve month option periods for a total not to exceed period of sixty months. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR COST PROPOSAL This acquisition is being solicited using full and open competition. Required gases and estimated annual quantities are as follows: 1) Pure Atmospheric Air-288 cylinders; 2) Argon-168 cylinders; 3) Pure Atmospheric Air and Carbon Dioxide-48 cylinders; 4) Nitrogen-1,332 cylinders; 5) Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide-96 cylinders; 6) Oxygen Size E-1,164 cylinders; 7) Oxygen Size G-480 cylinders; 8) Nitrous Oxide-36 cylinders; 9) Carbon Dioxide-3,672 cylinders; and up to twenty replacement cylinders for each of the gases. The government requires delivery to be made the same day for orders received prior to 8:00 AM EST. Interested parties responding to this market survey must provide a capability statement demonstrating their experience, expertise and available resources to perform the various tasks of this requirement. The capability statement and any other information furnished must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow NIH to determine of the interested party can meet all the requirements. Information submitted is to be pertinent and specific to the technical requirements identified above and demonstrate your firms ability to provide all personnel and resources necessary to provide all of the services identified. Interested parties capability statements shall include: 1. Business name, address, email address, website address, telephone number, and name of contact. 2. Business size and type of business. 3. At least 3 past performance references relevant to this requirement, which include contract number, dollar value, name of contract and telephone number.
