This sources sought is to determine the appropriate set aside. The NAICS Code is 238210 - Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Business Size standard is $15.0 Million. Please note that this is not a request for quotes or proposals; the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. A solicitation is currently not available. The Government anticipates issuing a solicitation set-aside to qualified companies interested in submitting a proposal when appropriate. The National Cemetery Administration as requested by the VA San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery is planning on soliciting to retrofit existing fiber optic line to replace existing irrigation telephone line and other existing telephones lines Place of Performance: San Joaquin National Cemetery, 32053 West McCabe Road, Santa Nella, CA. 95322 The Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, labor and supervision to retrofit existing fiber optic line to replace existing irrigation telephone line and other existing telephone lines. Install new power supply line to existing irrigation controller #10 and replace existing irrigation communication cable. Includes organizing wire and equipment in IT closets. The work is located at the San Joaquin National Cemetery, 32053 West McCabe Road, Santa Nella, CA. 95322 Contracting Officer's Representative (COR): James Russell TEL: (209) 854-1040 x105 James.Russell@va.gov Director: Margaret Ayres TEL: (209) 854-1040 x107 Margaret.Ayres@va.gov Work in this project includes but is not limited to: A.Use Existing Fiber Optic Line for Irrigation Control Signal from the Central Computer to Master Satellite Controller #2: 1.Verify if an existing telephone line runs from the punch blocks in the Administration IT closet to the IT closet adjacent to the Women's Restroom using the existing conduit. Install telephone line though existing conduit. Install telephone line through existing conduit if needed. 2.Connect the existing telephone line from Controller #2(Master Controller) to punch block in Restroom IT closet. Test for signal. B.Use Existing Fiber Optic Line for Telephone Signal from IT closet in Administration Building IT closet: 1.Install (2) two audio converters for the fiber optics to telephone. One (1) in the IT closet in the Administration and one (1) in the Maintenance IT closet. C.Provide New Power Supply from Irrigation Controller #1 in Pump House to Irrigation Controller #10: 1. Install new (3) three #10 conductor cable in 2" conduit with pull boxes as shown on drawing. (Approximately 750 l.f.) 2. Install wire under roadway without disturbing existing pavement or gutters. 3.Pull-boxes: Provide Five (5) 11x18 High Density Polymer Concrete boxes with lids. Provide matching composite, locking, slip resistant lid marked with the logo "Electrical" logo. (See Attached Specification) D. Replace Existing Irrigation Communication Cable from Irrigation Controller #1 In Pump House To First Pull box. 1.Replace two (2) Existing plastic pull boxes with 11 x 18 High Density Polymer Concrete boxes with lids. Provide matching composite, locking, slip resistant lid marked with the logo "Irrigation" logo. (See Attached Specification) 2.Install new communication cable in existing conduit. (Approximately 180 l.f.) 3.Communication Specification: Shielded underground cable with 18 AWG/2 pair with Drain line. (Paige Irrigation #P7171D-A or equal-see specification) E. Data Rack Installation and Cabling Clean-Up 1. Install standard 7' x 19" wall mounted rack with 3 shelves. 2. Move equipment to rack, replace long cables with shorter cat5 patch cords 3. Label cords 4. Replace three (3) existing 66s blocks for phones 5. Coordinate any interruptions with network or phones 48 hours in advance with COR Site work will be accomplished between the hours of 8:00 and 4:30, Monday through Friday, except Federal Holidays. All work will be coordinated with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Only the Contracting Officer (CO) has the authority to make changes to the contract that affects price and/or time. Work will be conducted in such a manner to minimize the impact on the Cemetery operations.
