- Description
- ***Please note that the information from the original post on 8 April 2015 has not change. The purpose of this modification is to answer a question from industry*** Question 2. We are considering replying to your AH-1 simulator sources sought request, but have a question about the requirement of utilizing the NAVAIR CASTLE format as listed in line item #4. We realize that better aero models exist and would like to know if it is a hard requirement to utilize CASTLE or if another model can be used for these simulators. We have also had past experience that when CASTLE is a requirement, then the JF Taylor company is normally selected due to the number of people employed by them that came from the Manned Flight Simulator group where Castle was developed. Answer 2: There is no hard requirement that a contractor shall utilize the Government furnished aero model in the CASTLE format for this effort. Another model could be utilized for this effort if that model is capable of meeting performance specification requirements. Please refer back to the first part of question 4. Which asked What experience does your firm have regarding successful Aero Model development, verification, validation, and integration?
