Description
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to procure Triple Multitron Pro Incubated Orbital Shaker, Quantity: 3 each, from INFORS USA INC., 9157 Whiskey Bottom Road, Laurel, MD 20723. Triple Multitron Pro, 25mm Incubated Orbital Shaker to include existing I10002P x 3 with the following components: CO110 Intergrated CO2, item# I51900, QTY 3; HC110 Humidity Option, item# I52000, QTY 3; Humidity carboy kit, item# I52200, QTY 1; Multitron Tray-Green Squares, item# I20011, QTY 3; Triple stacking kit includes a 6” base, item# I40100; Darking window for Pro cab, item# I50140, QTY 3 Triple Multitron Pro, 25mm Incubated Orbital Shaker are designed and built to superb standards to perform reliably for long periods with continuous use. They are commonly used for the culture of bacteria, fungi, yeast and photosynthetic active organisms, and can serve in a long list of applications including parallel cultivation, screening, protein expression, media development, scale up, process development and optimization, biofuels and mini or maxi preps in molecular biology. The proven triple eccentric drive system insures quiet and maintenance free operation. The Infors Sticky-Mat enables the Universal Platform to be used with various flask sizes without the need of flask clamps, saving money and valuable time. In addition to the large traditional universal platform with screw holes for flask and test tube racks, there is also a platform for micro-titer and deep well plates. The Multitron Pro can be fitted with a host of options tailered to applications, such as CO 2, lighting for photosynthesis or phototropic organism, humidity control, refrigeration, higher temperature and many other options. ShakerBag disposable bag and gassing options available. Any other similar product would result in changes to the existing experiment. This will be a firm fixed price contract in accordance with the statutory authority for this sole source requirement 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE NOT BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-81, dated April 10, 2015. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516, which has a size standard of 500 employees. All responsible sources who feel they can meet these requirements shall submit an offer that will be considered by the Agency. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Offers must be submitted no later than 4:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time Tuesday, May 12, 2015 through the U.S. Postal Service at the address of NIH/NIAID/AMOB, 5601 Fishers Lane, Room 3A55, MSC 9822, Rockville, MD, 20852-9822.
