Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 22, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) - Soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, to UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, 10945 Le Conte Ave, Suite 2339 Los Angeles, CA 90095. The proposed action will acquire continuing education for intensive course in geriatric medicine and pharmacy for clinicians participating in the VA Geriatric Scholars Program. The VA Geriatric Scholars Program is a workforce development program to improve patient healthcare. This course is a mandatory component of this program to maintain knowledge and skills in state of the art care and ensure continuance of quality of service to the Veterans. The period of performance is from September 9-12, 2015. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledge. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Responsible parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement via email to Jennelyn Peters at Jennelyn.Peters@va.gov no later than 12:00 pm EST, May 4, 2015. All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the services required and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror's bona fide capability to provide these services. Telephone responses are not acceptable and will not be considered.
