Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCAD-LKE), is seeking information on how an interested contractor could provide the production units for Lot One of the Common Aircraft Armament Test Set (CAATS) and the Pure Air Generator (PAG) Adapter Set (PAS). The CAATS/PAS will be used to test/troubleshoot various U.S. Navy (USN)/U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) bomb racks, missile launchers, pylons and emerging weapons carriage devices across most aircraft weapons systems at the Intermediate Maintenance Level (I-level). The CAATS/PAS will replace the legacy A/E37T-35A Common Rack and Launcher Test Set (CRALTS) which has reliability and obsolescence issues as well as design limitations that impact its ability to support future weapon carriage requirements. The PAS interfaces with the CAATS to test the LAU-7 and LAU-127 Hi-Pressure Pure Air Generator (HiPPAG) Launchers. The PAS will replace the existing CRALTS HiPPAG Adapter and provide the required pressure test capability to test emerging pneumatic pressure release launchers such as the Joint Miniature Munitions Bomb Rack Unit. The CAATS system tests rack and launcher aircraft weapons interfaces off the aircraft prior to the loading of ordnance to ensure proper system functionality and safety of operation. Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), 4422 Bragdon St., Indianapolis, IN 46226 (CAGE: 74RJ4, DUNS: 079398289) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the CAATS and PAS. The design and development of the CAATS and PAS is currently being conducted by SAIC, in the pre-production acquisition phase, under Contract DOTC-13-01-INIT305. Since the CAATS and PAS are still in the design and development phase, the physical configuration audit (PCA) and final drawing changes have not been completed. While the Government does have the rights to the drawings, the final drawings have not been finalized and the Government does not yet have possession of the drawings. As such, the drawing package will remain proprietary to SAIC, including the hardware and software, until the PCA has been accomplished and the final drawings are completed.
