Description

Question and Answer From Todays Site Visit On 04/239/2015: Question: Are there dedicated connections between the server and the current security system? Answer: No, the requirement is for that very purpose to connect the existing PACS and CCTV systems into the existing VA security system in accordance with the statement of work. Question: Are alternative methods other than hardwiring the existing PACS and CCTV systems to the VA security system allowed? Answer: No Question: Do pull boxes need to be labled? Answer: Yes, the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) will supply what the appropriate naming convention will be for the boxes. Question: Is the VA security system that is in place a stand-alone system? Answer: Yes Question: Where should the connection be made to patch the existing PACS and CCTV systems to the VA security system? Answer: Building 100, Room IF112, there exists an eight port switch with three ports available. Attached to this amendment is the wiring as-built for the main server room and 1F112 F-section of building 100. There was discussion during the site visit whether an update would need to occur to the Appendix A to show the panel location. It is already marked on the current drawing, just inside the main hallway, second room from the top on the right side. It's marked with SCP for security control panel and MUX for video fiber multiplexer.
