- NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center needs to procure a micro bulk carbon dioxide storage tank for the Building 24 Power Plant Boiler Wastewater Treatment System. The Carbon Dioxide gas is required to supply the Building 24 Boiler Wastewater Water Treatment System. The Statement of Work may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.g ov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. Material Safety Data Sheets: The contractor shall prepare an MSDS for each hazardous item as prescribed in Federal Standard 313, and ensure that the contract number, part number/trade name, National Stock Number (NSN) or Local Stock Number (LSN), Temporary Stock Number (TSN), Activity Control Number (ACN) and complete specification reference including type, grade and class are included on the MSDS. This applies to all items that are classified as hazardous in Federal standard No. 313 or in the OSHA Hazardous Communication Rule (29 CFR, PART1910, and SUBPART H). Inspection and Testing: The contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection and testing requirements. Approvals: The contractor is responsible for obtaining/maintaining all required certifications, licenses, and state and municipal locale approvals, as specified herein during performance of the contract. Workmanship: Unless otherwise specifically provided herein, the quality of all items rendered shall conform to applicable industry standards. Period of Performance:Delivery is required 60 days after receipt of order (ARO). FOB Point of Delivery for Services and Supplies provided will be the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Building 24, 8800 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt MD, 20771. Required Documentation/Information to be submitted with proposal: 1.Welding/brazing documentation; procedures and qualifications, in accordance with ASME, Section IX. 2.Product data and system drawings. Documentation in the form of U-1/U-1A forms, vessel drawings, and design calculations associated with the vessel, relief device calculations for over pressure protection of the vessel and distribution piping. 3.Lifting plan 4.Schedule to complete 5.Safety Plan 6.Certification documentation of NDE inspector(s). Welding and NDE inspections must be done at a minimum in accordance with ASNT CP-189 or SNT-TC-1A and AWS D1 series. 7.Certification of insurance 8.Personnel list (1 week prior to start of physical work) This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All contractual and technical questions must be in writing (e-mail) to rosa.e.woody@nasa.gov no later than May 15, 2015 at. Telephone questions will not be accepted.Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.g ov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). The government is not responsible for locating or securing any information, which is not identified in the submission. To ensure sufficient information is available, vendors must furnish as part of their proposal all descriptive material (such as cuts, illustration, drawings, or other information) necessary for the government to determine whether the product meets their requirements.
