Description

Synopsis VA528-15-B-0210: This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. This is NOT a solicitation, and no solicitation documents are currently publically available. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a General Building Construction contractor operating under NAICS code 236220 to fulfill a requirement to repair several congregate bathrooms in Buildings 3, 7, 8, and 9 at the VA Medical Center 400 Fort Hill Avenue, Canandaigua NY 14424, according to the statement of work, drawings, and specifications that will accompany the solicitation.. Work includes, but is not limited to, architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, etc. Project Number is 528A5-13-521. Competition for this procurement is restricted to SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). The project consists of the reconstruction of congregate bathroom space in order to comply with ADA compliance to include the widening of bathroom doors, bathroom stalls, sink accessibility, upgrade to floors and walls, etc. in accordance with the forthcoming Contract Documents which will contain the Plans, Specifications and Project Scope Documents. This includes but is not limited to: asbestos abatement and 3rd Party Air Monitoring, Demolition, Debris Removal, Temporary Building Utility Services, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry work. Estimated construction magnitude is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. The firm must be a General Construction firm approved under NAICS: 236220, size standard: $37.5 million. The bidder shall obtain any and all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in the State of New York. Prospective contractors must be registered and certified online with http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must be registered at http://www.sam.gov in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award. Solicitation will be posted on/about May 15, 2015. A walk-through will be held on or about one week after the posting of the solicitation for this IFB. These dates are estimates. The actual dates will be stated in the solicitation.
