Description

The VA Office of Research and Development, William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center Research Department in Columbia, SC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Mauna Kea Technologies Inc. pursuant to FAR 6.302-1; for the purchase of a Cellvizio Dual Band probe-based Confocal Laser Endomicroscopy solution for pre-clinical use on small animals. This system provides live, in vivo detailed images of internal or external tissues. It shall be used for direct examination of the entire GI tract (Including the biliary system) and the Lungs. The system will be delivered to the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center at 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209. The following items will be purchased for this system: 1.Item Number CDB-0001; Cellvizio Dual Band system with Confocal processor (1). 2.Item Number LP-0001; ProFlex S-300/B microprobe (2). 3.Item Number LP-0002; ProFlex S-300/F microprobe (2). 4.Item Number LP-0003; ProFlex S-650/F microprobe (2). 5.Item Number LP-0004; ProFlex S-650/B microprobe (2). 6.Item Number LP-0005; ProFlex S1500 microprobe (2). 7.Item Number LP-0010; ProFlex MiniO/30 Microprobe (2). 8.Item Number LP-0011; ProFlex MiniO/100 Mircroprobe (2). 9.Item Number LP-0012; ProFlex Z Microprobe (2). 10.Item Number LP-0013; ProFlex UltraMiniO Microprobe (2). 11.Item Number LP-0014; ProFlex Mini Z Microprobe (2). 12.Item Number LP-0015; NeuroPak CeroFlex Microprobe Kit, (3). Kit includes box of 6 implants with caps, 1 stereo holder, 1 set of 50 screws, 1 screwdriver, 1 special designed packaging box, and 2 x distal tips re-polishings. 13.Item Number LP-0016; NeuroPak J, (3). Includes Jacketed CerboFlex Microprobe with metallic sheath, 1 box of 6 implants with caps, 1 stereo holder, 1 set of 50 screws, and 1 screwdriver. 14.Item Number LQ-0005; 3 pack calibration & cleaning kit for Cellvizio 488nm, S, Z, MiniO series microprobes, (1). 15.Item Number LQ-0006; 3 pack calibration & cleaning kit for Cellvizio 660nm, S, Z, MiniO series microprobes, (1). 16.Item Number LW-0001; IC Viewer processing software, (1). Includes site license. 17.Item Number LW-0002; Hyperscan Module, (1). 18.Item Number LW-0003; Vessel Detection Software (1). 19.Item Number LW-0004; Advanced Mosaicing Software (1). 20.Item Number LA-0003; NeuroPak implants kit (3). Includes 12 implants with cannula plugs and 100 screws. 21.Item Number LS-0004; Site Installation (1). 22.Item Number LS-0005; Initial on-site training (1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than May 05, 2015, at 3:00PM, EST. Interest/ capability statements may be sent to Travis Gibbons at travis.gibbons@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
