Description

This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Syracuse, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about the May 14th, 2015 for Rome VAMC Maintenance Garage Roof Replacement and Masonry Restoration, Project No. 528A7-14-711. The project includes the following scope items: replacement of the existing roofing membrane and insulation, correct the masonry deficiencies around the building, and to correct other parapet and facade related problems associated with the building. The existing building is constructed of three main areas: The Southern Bays, the Northern Bays, and the Maintenance Canopy. Replacement of Roofing on Rome CBOC Maintenance Garage Roof: The Contractor shall perform work required to replace the existing roofing on the entire (all three sections) of the Rome CBOC maintenance garage to include removal and disposal of the existing roofing membrane, coverings, insulation, copings, and associated accessories from the roof surfaces. Fully install new roofing, insolation and roof cover board as directed by associated drawings and specifications. Tasks include: demolition & disposal of existing roofing, installation of 40 mil white TPO roofing membrane and associated plumbing, mechanical and electrical. Replacement of Masonry, Rome CBOC Maintenance Garage: The Contractor shall perform work to remove and replace ribbed block and CMU from the Rome CBOC Maintenance Garage exterior walls and associated locations as directed by the plans and specifications. This includes removal and disposal of the existing ribbed block and CMU. Install new ribbed block and CMU as directed by the plans and specifications to include required attachment and any associated plumbing, mechanical and electrical to complete the task. Miscellaneous maintenance items: The Contractor shall prepare and repaint the door lintels and hollow metal doors. The Contractor shall repaint the exposed structural steel of the maintenance Canopy The Contractor shall replace damaged metal clad plywood panel(s) on the Maintenance Canopy. The Contractor shall perform any additional work as noted on drawings and referenced in the specification. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses'. The NAICS code is 236220. The small business standard is $36.5 M. The cost range is $100,000 to $250,000. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the Solicitation. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and Payment bonds will be required.
