REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI): Sources Sought Notice THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. This is a Request for Information from industry in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e) and on the requirement that exists for the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. This is not a request for quote and not a contract. This announcement is not a request for proposals; therefore, responses to the RFI are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. No classified information should be included in the RFI response. PURPOSE: The purpose of this RFI is to assess availability of qualified companies capable of providing repair services that will ensure existing, government-owned machines continue to operate as the manufacturer intended. The VA requires these copying systems to meet or exceed certification standards of the O.E.M. to provide the VA the opportunity to be eligible for a preventive, maintenance and repair (PMR) contract and with no further cost immediately following repairs. LOCATION: Oklahoma City VA Medical Center (OKCVAMC), 921 NE 13th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73104 NAICS / Size Standard: 811212 / $27.5 million in average annual receipts. SERVICES: Repair, Calibration and Certification Services by a qualified vendor for two (2) government-owned Konica Minolta Business Solution copying systems (C7000 Bizhub) with the intent of providing O.E.M. standard certifications that the system operates as the manufacturer intended, uninterrupted and current, with the latest updates, upon completion of repair and calibration. Upon completion of services the contractor must be capable of providing the VA with documentation that each system has been repaired, calibrated and meets current O.E.M. standards for eligibility of a PMR agreement, with no other repair costs required. It is anticipated that each system could require parts such as charging units, drum units, developers (K, Y, M, C), developer units (K, C, Y M), intermediate transfers, second transfers, fusing units, blade kits, plates, clutches etc System Serial numbers and details: "A1DU01200017: METER: 789913 / BW: 206,777 / COLOR: 583136 (Current at 10/23/2014) "A1DU01200019: METER: 1409224 / BW: 268,007 / COLOR: 1141217 (Current at 10/23/2014) SYSTEM NO.1: Konica Minolta Bizhub Press C7000 print production device "IC-306 Fiery Controller (External) "DF-622 Automatic Document Feeder "PF-602 Paper Feeder Unit "GP-501 Multi-Punch "SD-506 Saddle Stitcher "FS-521 Staple Finisher SYSTEM NO.2: Konica Minolta Bizhub Press C7000 print production device "IC-306 Fiery Controller (External) "PF-602 Paper Feeder Unit "SD-506 Saddle Stitcher "FS-521 Staple Finisher "FD-503 Folding Unit All requirements will be non-personal services, where a Contractor furnishes all contract oversight, management, Technically Trained personnel, uniforms, equipment, tool, materials, supplies, storage, insurances and transportations necessary to provide commercial Services for OKCVAMC. The VA will not furnish parts to the Contractor. The Contractor shall have ready access to all parts, including unique and/or high mortality replacement parts. All parts supplied by the Contractor shall be compatible with the existing equipment. The Contractor shall use new parts. All parts shall be of current manufacture and have complete versatility and compatibility with the equipment upon or within which it is installed by the Contractor. All parts shall perform identically to the original equipment specifications. Rebuilt parts, used parts, or those removed from another copier or multi-function print device (MFPD) shall not be installed. The contractor shall be fully licensed and insured in the Oklahoma, capable of performing services in Oklahoma. BACKGROUND: Both systems were purchased July 2013 with a 90 day warranty. They have not been operational for several months. INSTRUCTIONS on How to Respond to this RFI: Vendors are invited to participate in this RFI at no additional cost to the government. Please review this RFI, including all information, and email company details and responses to the RFI POC. Please call ahead if you prefer to fax a response. Queries can be made to the RFI POC. Vendors responding should clearly indicate in their email the following information: 1.Company name and contact details 2.Company DUNS number, if applicable 3.Business Size (Refer to NAICS / Size Standards above) 4.VETBIZ status, if applicable 5.SBA status, if applicable 6.Confirmation of ability to provide OEM authorized repair services per this RFI 7.Confirmation of availability to perform repair services at the location 8.GSA contract number, if applicable 9.Foreign-owned or foreign-controlled firm, if applicable 10.Indicate contemplated use of foreign national employees on this effort VA DISCLAIMER: As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation exists at this time; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely by Government discretion. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought notice is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this Notice. Respondents will not individually be notified of the results of any Government assessments. The Government's evaluation of the capability statements received will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition, or as a set-aside for small businesses, or any particular small business designation (e.g., SDVOSB, VOSB, HUB Zone, 8(a), WOSB, etc.).
