- Description
- The Department of Labor (DOL), Human Resources Center, intends to award a sole source contract with a 12 month base period with four (4) 12 month option years period of performance from October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2020 to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) 600 5th St NW Washington, DC 20001-2610. The purpose of this contract is for transit fare media services in support of the DOL Transit Subsidy Benefit Program. The Transit Subsidy Program, initiated on January 1, 1994, allows employees to receive transit subsidy benefits under the WMATA SmarTrip program, which was created in response to Executive Order 13150. The resulting contract will be on a firm fixed price basis with economic price adjustment. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received for future reference. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of request for quotation. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All interested sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency for future purposes. All questions and submissions in response to this notice must be submitted in writing no later than 12:00pm EST on Thursday, May 7, 2015, to Guerrero.Stephanie@dol.gov. Telephone calls regarding this matter will neither be accepted nor returned.
