Description
BEARINGS RFI NIINS COPY OF RFI REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ANNOUNCEMENT Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation Richmond, Virginia PROGRAM OVERVIEW DLA Aviation is developing a strategic support initiative that will increase automation, improve efficiencies, and enhance support to our customers. DLA Aviation's goal is to effectively reduce lead-times, reduce costs (both material and administrative) and improve support to the Warfighter. Scope of Project: •· DLA's managed National Stock Numbers (NSN) in Federal Stock Group (FSG) - 3110 Roller Bearings ( Unmounted) that are fully competitive or qualified under the non-manufacturers rule •· The NSN list attached to this RFI represent those with anticipated purchase requirements (PRs) during the base contract period. •· Item delivery directly to DLA depots (DD) in accordance with defined delivery terms. •· The requirement will be set aside for small business utilizing multiple LTCs awarded from a single solicitation. •· The resulting contracts will be written in such a way as to provide for the addition of NSNs in the 3110 FSC that are fully competitive or have been designated as qualified for the non-manufacturing rule. If unanticipated demands arise for any of the previously NSNs in these categories these items will be competed among awardees. Request for Information (RFI) Questions: (Please answer in detail) •A. Approximately 200 NSN's (see attachment) have been identified for this initiative. Offers will be based on an all or none basis. Please review the attached list and validate that your company will quote all items. •B. Does your company have the capability to price all 200 NIINs within 45 days? If not how much time is needed to price all items? •C. Does your company have the capability to reduce historical lead-times by 50%? If not how much lead-time reduction can you offer? •D. Please estimate the percentage overhead associated with supporting this initiative. •E. Does your firm have any delivery order processing constraints? If so please advise what they are. •F.
