- Draft Specification for CG 300 Crane Overhaul & Repair The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Icebreaker/Buoy and Construction Tender Product Line (IBCTPL), has a requirement to inspect, repair, and provide maintenance and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts for the American Aero CG300 Cranes, used on the WLIC 160' and 75' construction tenders. The Coast Guard does not possess the technical specifications, drawings, manufacturing data, or special tools necessary to complete the repairs or provide the required maintenance. This information was not purchased at the time of the original acquisition and is proprietary to the OEM. All work must be conducted in accordance with current OEM specifications, drawings, and standards. It is the Government's belief that only Sparrows Engineering & Operations (formerly Energy Cranes, LLC) has the capability to provide these services. However, other potential sources can submit information concerning their capabilities. This information shall include, but is not limited to: (1) Data that the offered services have been satisfactorily provided to the OEM or the Government in the past; and (2) A written letter, signed by the OEM, that verifies the offeror's capability to access OEM drawings, specifications, and special tools. The Government does not intend to pay for any information that is submitted in response to this synopsis. The above information must be received no later than seven (7) calendar days from the date this notice is published. Information received after this period shall not be considered.
