- This Request for Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB) or an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any services. Responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government reserves the right to determine how it should proceed as a result of this notice. Furthermore, those who respond to this RFI should not anticipate feedback with regard to its submission. The Government will not pay any cost incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the responding party's expense. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. The purpose of this request is to solicit technical approaches, delivery approaches and contractors capabilities for Pretreatment CPET Equipment and to see if it is possible to supply and install this equipment at the address below: Middle East Desalination Research Center, Building # 3200, North AI Hail Corniche (behind Dama Street) P.O. Box 21, PC 133 AI.Khuwair, Sultanate of Oman The NAICS code being used is 221310 - Water Supply and Irrigation Systems size standard $27.5 Commissioning for the unit • Installation and commissioning can be done by a subcontract to local firms in Oman • Start up, training and take over by MEDRC team after training. • 2 year spare parts • 3 month consumables (Chemical, Cartridge filters) • 1 year warranty from taking over certificate • Power Requirement of all electrical systems are based on Omani power availability. o Single phase: 220 V, 50 Hz o 3 phase: 220/400 V, 50 Hz 1. Equipment - All equipment related to present tender shall be new complete in every respect with all equipment, accessories, services, etc., for the safe and efficient working of the completed project. The following specifications should be considered as minimum specifications. Additional information, specification and system information on each main piece of equipment system is provided below. Please provide capabilities on an all sum or none basis. 1.1. CLIN 0010 Post Treatment: The RO product water will be treated before arrival to existing product tank. The Post treatment shall be as follow: • Re-mineralization of the product water by lime injection or calcite bed • Calcium hypochlorite chlorination • Caustic soda pH regulation Post treatment to include all interconnecting cable, pipe work, isolation valves, non- return valves, chemical injection, metering pumps and PLC required for integration into existing RO. 1.1.1. All dosing units shall be provided with water supply line, drain facilities, level indicator, electric mixer for powder / solid chemicals, and level switches with low level alarm. The dosing tanks shall be with liter scale, lockable screw cap. QTY: 1 Capacity: Post treatment flow 3.5 m3/hr, targeting approx. 60 mg/l Calcium carbonate and total hardness approx. 80 mg/l In the final product water. 1.2. CLIN 0020 DAF: Dissolved Air Flotation system is included in this scope of work for the Pre- treatment of feed water of the existing 1st Pass. The DAF shall include all interconnecting cable, pipe work, isolation valves, non-return valves, top and bottom skimming, coagulation and flocculation. QTY: 1 Capacity: 10 m3/h 1.2. CLIN 0030 UF: Ultra Filtration system is included in this scope of work for pre-treatment of existing 1st Pass feed water. The UF will be connected to the existing pre-treatment system in order to bypass the Multi Media Filters. UF shall include all interconnecting cable, pipe work, isolation valves, non-return valves, chemical injection, backwashing and chemical cleaning set. QTY: 1 Treatment capacity: 8.4 m3/h 2.1. Complete drawing of equipment 2.2. Detailed P&I Diagram. 2.3. Mass flow diagram 2.4. All equipment datasheet 2.5. List of provided spare parts and consumables 2.6. Power requirement 2.7.
