Description
ABL-15145 RFQ This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories has a requirement. The primary objectives of this contract are to provide outreach services through daily tours at the TSMRI facilities to describe the facility and the research that is performed by this research facility and associated Science of a Sphere (SOS) testing and enhancements at Ted Stevens Marine Research Institute (TSMRI). The work associated with this contract will be performed at ABL's Ted Stevens Marine Research Institute. The period of performance is anticipated as follows: Base: Date of Award (May 2015) through Mid-May 2016. May - September up to 15 hours per week, October through December up to 7.5 hours per week, January to Mid May 15 hours per month. Option Period 1: May 16, 2016 through Mid-May 2017. May - September up to 15 hours per week, October through December up to 7.5 hours per week. January to Mid May 15 hours per month. Due to lack of seasonal activity, weekly hours are not projected for January through April. The hours estimated are to allow for the unexpected tour requests or school requests. There are no set weekly hours and the hours are to last completely through the middle of May each period. Additional hours will not be granted as the government believes these estimated hours are sufficient to accomplish the needs during that season. Minimum required knowledge to complete this work is past experience in Conducting outreach tours of a scientific nature and/or of marine environments. Teachers and educators are highly encouraged to submit a proposal. See attached statement of work for complete description of services. All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A firm-fixed order is anticipated to be issued in May 2015 for a duration of approx. two years. All responses must be in writing and delivery to fax number (907)789-6004 attention to Suzanne Johnston or to the address indicated in the solicitation. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $150,000.00. All vendors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in SAM.
