Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta, GA, VISN 7 contemplates negotiation of sole source procurement with Uptodate, 95 Sawyer Road, Waltham MA 02453, for clinical support on quality of care and patient safety. Uptodate will provide scientific studies published in high quality per reviewed journals demonstrating an impact on patient safety, reduced hospital complications, and improved medical knowledge acquisition for VISN7, the period of performance for this procurement will be September 1, 2015 to August 31, 2016 with three on-year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS Code for this procurement is 511210 with a size standard of $25.0 million. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received within 3 days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet VA requirements, to the Contract Specialist via email at lois.greene@va.gov. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining the whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
