Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peter VA Medical Center is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing: The vendor shall provide with reliable tow tractors which have an 8000 lbs. tow capacity and perform with 1.5% grade while towing 8000 lbs. at a minimum. It must have a turn radius of 54" maximum to accommodate towing within tight spaces and narrow hallways. Electric must be 36 Volt and have 11.1 HP. Tugger must have a programmable speed controller which allows for adjustment in ramp rate and speed. Handlebar steering and durable 14 gauge steel construction must be standard. Note: Set-Aside requirements, Services (except construction). At least 50 percent of the cost of contract performance incurred for personnel shall be expended for employees of the concern. Supplies (other than procurement from a non-manufacturer of such supplies). The concern shall perform work for at least 50 percent of the cost of manufacturing the supplies, not including the cost of materials. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to, DUNS number, address, point of contact and social-economic category (ex: SBVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small Business). If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in System For Award Management (SAM) ( see internet site : https://www.sam.gov/). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email) and received not later than May 08, 2015 4:00 PM Eastern time. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on FedBidzOpps (http://www.fbo.gov/) at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement through FBO Federal Business Opportunities.
